Moving a Website to a New Domain Name - Using 301 Redirects
We have just taken the Solar-Shades.eu website and moved it to the new domain name of WindowTintingDorset.com. We have moved the website from the original domain name to WindowTintingDorset, as we believe that the chances of SEO success will be greatly increased. We have used 301 redirect’s to ensure that Google will understand that the website has permanently moved to a new domain name.
Solar-shades.eu is a website which we built at the beginning of the year, it has performed well in it’s short lifespan, however we believe that the combination of a poor domain name, and the weak .eu domain extension was greatly hampering their chances of high competive rankings. We will be keeping a close eye on the performance on Window Tinting Dorset and will report back on how performance improves. We hope Window Tinting Dorset Chips Away at it’s competitors and secures high SEO rankings!
nb. we have made slight alterations to the page URL’s - this is something that again has been made for SEO purposes.
